1. Why do you ride FG?
It was fun to rebuild a 1976 Varsity (like I had in 1976) into a functional commuter bike with fenders, rack, panniers and a fixed gear. To ride silently and to feel a bit ahead of the curve

2. What influenced you to do so?
My brother in Colorado talking about it, then reading Sheldon Brown's site, then seeing a Craigslist Varsity for $40 kicked it off. I sent an email to Sheldon asking about removing the sproket and he responded. (October 2007) before he passed away. An amazing soul.

3. What other types of bike have you owned?
Had a Schwinn Lemon Peeler in 1974 (a cool looking but rotten bike), Schwinn Collegiate, Schwinn 1976 Bicentennial Varsity (wish I would have kept it and the lemon peeler), Schwinn World Traveler, Trek613 Touring (still have it), Trek800 MTB, Specicalized Tarmac (rocket!) and my 1976 Varsity Fixie.
