Bikes: shogun road, 95 trekMTB

shogun 18 sp touring

anybody still here???
well, i'm dying to tell someone about my new baby Shogun! even if i'm just talking to myself
This is THE BEST riding bike I've ever tried- comfortable and retro cool. And I was just a mountain biker until about a month ago when i signed up for the MS 150 charity ride. A week before the big ride I found my 1982 Shogun (on craiglist of course)! Never thought 2 back to back 75mile rides would be as fun as they were -awesome rolling hills of columbia, mo!! so grateful to have the touring gearing so i could sit down on those climbs I'm addicted to the speed of road biking
specs:
serial# M1E33686
1982(the matching-color deore pedals date it=weird 1" interface Dyna-Drive Shimano only made that one year)
Scrolly JAPAN decal right below shop decal (Different Spokes Norwalk, CT)
Shogun dude head on forks and
frame material "2001 Mangaloy double butted" on TT, "18 speed touring" on stays
Shimano 600 hubs, brakes
Deore triple crankset(50/45/30)
Deore 6 sp.cassette(13-30)
Deore der., down tube shifters
Araya rims, SR Laprade seatpost, SR road champion alloy bars, (I replaced weird upright tallllll Cromo road stem with a normal 100mm SR alloy stem)

I've added the new stem, black brake hoods, kenda tires, tubes, brake pads, alloy bottle cage, gel cork tape, Fizik women's gel Vitesse seat (modern comfort!)
