i think your missing the point.
road drops are blatently the best choice for riding on roads it makes alot more sense, theres no comprimises and they have more advantages. using risers on a bike like this is like sticking some off road tires on you porsche 911: impractical and pointless.
the whole track bikes only for the track is silly, how many mtb reguarly see any real mud? track bikes work well on the roads hence thier popularity for city riding.
the visability thing is rubbish, road drops have a top section you know.
yeah you can ride to your trick place quickly, but what can you do when you get there, a few lame assed tricks which the bmx guys would laugh at. this type of bike is just not for doing tricks.
the main reason people have risers is style and lack of riding experience, some people are put offf drops becuase they see them as a bit scary. many of my friends have had to be usshered into using drops, but have then wondered why they did use them before. theres good reason theyve been the favoured bar for racing for 100~ years.
