On feeling "fine": Whiplash can creep up on you, I've been rear ended and felt fine, but later had a host of troubles as a result.
On clueless woman: she sounds like she's completely wrapped up in herself and ignorant of traffic laws. Which is all too common.
Not always cars vs. cyclists either, a friend of mine's 12 year old son was clipped by a car as he started to cross a street, bruised his arm, and broke their mirror. They turned around and came back, and demanded he pay for their mirror. Regardless of whose fault it was, they cared nothing about whether he was injured or not. Only about their mirror.
Car vs. car: Another friend was rear-ended-- in a sudden traffic slowdown because of a previous accident-- by a woman on her cell phone, and when they got out to look at the damage, she noticed my friend's truck was not damaged, but the front end of her PT Cruiser was destroyed. So she said to my friend, "Look what
you did to
my car!"
Fortunately a state trooper witnessed the accident on that one...
