It's an XRS Sport. It has a Shimano Acera X rear derailleur, Shimano Altus crank, front derailleur and hubs. It's got a 23" frame. I like it a lot but have considered putting either cruiser bars or drop bars on it because the flat bars just aren't quite right. I may just stay with how it came, though, since I'm getting used to it.

It is a very late Nishiki I think, when Derby was making them in the U.S., just before they stopped U.S. sales in 2001. When I got it Labor Day weekend this year, it still had the store price tags on it (estate sale; apparently an old dude bought it but never rode it. I also got his '66 Raleigh DL-1).

I was using the granny gears a lot when I first started riding it. Now I'm trying to figure out how to put a taller chain ring in the front; the biggest one only has 38 teeth, compared to 52 on my other Nishiki.

If you want to learn more about my bikes, click the links in my sig. I've owned one of my four bikes for 24 years; the other three I bought in the last two months (and all those purchases makes my wife nervous).
