Nev, the fixie thing is a definite inner city trend that's getting pretty big. I've sold a couple of fixies for urban use, but most guys want that grungy urban dumpster-fresh "aren't I edgy" look that usually doesn't mean getting a new custom bike. Cycling Central was okay I guess. Better than nothin'. Mixed reports about the Great Vic - my mate went on it and said it was cool and the queues weren't so bad - but man, 8,100 people, with many riding those crap "Great Vic" bikes 100kms a day? Ouch. Not exactly my recipe for newbie fun times.
