What to eat before riding is the age old question that even Ric Stern can't answer. I usually go at least an hour after eating, and usually eat something simple like some leftover pasta or if it's a morning ride, a regular breakkie is usually okay.

No matter what you eat though, when you're pushing it and burp a bit up, it's NEVER good.
