Lippy built under his own name as early as 1974, by 1975 had a pretty good reputation, was based in San Diego area. He did build for Masi, after Mario left and right at about the time Carlsbad was no longer a fully capable bike factory. So that places it very late 1976 to early 1977.

From a few sources, the Masi relationship was short lived.

I am aware he made bikes up to and including the 80's. Like Dave Moulton, out of the biz.

The bikes I have seen kind of follow the Albert Eisentraut school, simple, clean. Perhaps not enough visual personality for the times.
