Yes, but the Poms still think they are the centre of the colonial empire. And when they emigrate to Australia, they think the serf-and-convict culture still exists here, and they are the lords of the manor. Seen it happen. Been on the receiving end of it. They come out here to teach those colonials a thing or two. I cannot for the life of me believe how any Pom who moves to Australia to sun, sand and beach babes could possibly want to go back to dreary, rainy weather with cobbelstone beaches and... well you get the picture.
