I'd have more respect for audax folks if they raised the qualifying to something like 20kph....15kph?....fair dinkum, you could ride around the world & average that!...last years Alpine classic.....I got extremely 'lubed' the night before, got to bed at 4am, up at 5.30 for the 6.20am start......38 deg, 6 spews (I wish i was joking about that!)...2 hrs sleep under a tree & I still made the cut off by 45 mins...c'mon, 15kph is not a serious challenge!
