I happen to have just that very thing. I just don't have any money for the required conversion
I'm converting my old steelo to fixed/free combo cruiser. Hey how do you confuse a seppo? Sell him a fixy and throw in back pedal brakes as a free upgrade

Any, returning from my sad little digression...
Aaah yes, needs a new coat of paint so its needs to be totally stripped down. Off with the trusty Super-Record rear and Ultegra front dereilleurs, Omega cranks (who was it that was complaining about modern bendy cranks a while ago? These are the old straight variety 170mm) and on with a 48 and new cranks. Then its just a new rear hub with fixed on one side and free on the other (16 or 17, just can't make up my mind. I should seek expert advice. Maybe Top Gun School of Racing would have an answer for me).
So to be a true fixy does it need to have cotter pins? Is the old Concor leather chiq or too glam? Would it be considered posing to retain the original Suntour ARX brakes, or should I replace them with modern 'retro' style brakes?
