It's not just you. Depending on the light, and then how it photographs, it can look anywhere from a nice sparkling jeweled jade color, to a sort of British Racing Green, and then an almost black/BRG cross, and even a little grey-bluish/black. it's just a beautiful color that changes with the light, but is also difficult to photograph properly to show it off.
