My commuter started out as a $30 Raleigh M-30. Tires are Specialized Nimbus Armadillos. Fenders are off an old Armstrong 3 speed.




I relocated the forward derailieur lever, since it is rarely used and put a bell in it's place. The bars are off a little girl's BMX bike. Dual Planet Bike headlights.




The seat is chained down so it will still be there when I get back. The Kryptonite New York Noose cost twice as much as the entire bike.




The basket is an old gym basket zip tied to a Bell rack. Dual Planet Bike Super Blinkies. Fox Labs Mean Green pepper spray in the pouch.

The effect I was trying to achieve was a smoothly riding, reliable bike that would give the impression a thief might get tetanus if he bothered it on the rack.
