Syntace Stratos will fit in some quill stems. I had a pair in a very old cheap SR stem and now have them in a 3TTT stem. The 3TTT stem has a bolt to expand the clamp area. The real trick is getting the stem past the first bend. This works better with the stem off the bike but if the clamp area is too wide, it probably won't work at all. The 1/8 or maybe 1/4 inch difference in clamp width area between the two stems was enough to make the 3TTT stem impossible until I realized what the expander bolt was for.

That being said, silver/polished bars would look nicer on that frame and I recommend the Soma El Toro bullhorns. Ive got a set of those on another bike.
