thetank, it's 2009! just because someone has a nice bike doesn't mean they know anything about it..
that said, h_curtis - and i wasn't passing judgement on you with my above comment - i think you got the point, but don't chop those bars. they will make someone very happy when you sell them to her or him, and bullhorns can be bought for probably less than what you sell these for, even if you hook up a friend.
that also said, if i were you i'd go with risers. yeah, bullhorns will come closer to being able to replicate the feeling of riding on the hoods of your road drops, but whenever i've ridden risers i've mostly ended up with my hands near the stem - like track drops - or in about the position risers would put me in, with my knuckles faced forward. that, coupled with my extreme aesthetic distaste for bullhorns, would have me choosing risers. but again, that's only if i were in your position. we've all got our own big ideas for our bikes.
