More positioning?

How would bullhorns give you more positions than drop bars? Bullhorns were designed for time trials and pursuit -- short, intense races. Drop bars were designed for endurance events. If you're going to be in the saddle for a long time, go with the drop bars. Messengers like straight bars and bullhorns because they don't ride continuously for hours without a break.
