I suppose I could clarify my post.

After a certain point adding mileage on results in minimal fitness gains. Since I use my commute for training I want to focus on other items for racing, organized rides, and possibly brevets. Thus, no mileage goals. My goals will look something like "raise my lactate threshold X%".
Plus, I need to change things up. My intensity level stinks.
