Search on MonkeyElectric and Hokey Spokes limited to this sub-forum will yield many discussions on these products. I have researched them thoroughly this way.
At $65 per and pairs recommended so it is $130 per wheel x 2 = $260. I think I will pass. My friends purchased me flashing wheel pattern lights that attach to the stems. Since they attach to the stem obviously only one per wheel is recommended. Since it is a gift I don't know the cost. The packaging is wierd. There is a model number but I cannot track it down on the internet. I used them the other night and one of the riders that got them for me said they looked cool. They seem sturdy enough and are advertised to fit motorcycle and car wheels. I had to get Schrader to Presta converters to attach them.
If you are just worried about visibility you can use inexpensive Nite Ize.

Look under Illuminating Gear and Cycling.
Nite Ize but you probably need traditional 28+spoke 3-cross wheels or I cannot vouch that they will stay in place. They work great if have the right spoke configuration.
