Kinda. If I was looking to purchase a product, I wouldn't buy an inferior one just because they sponsored a team. However, if I was on the fence about choosing 1 then that would definitely be a tie breaker. I've been at a convenience store to buy a bottle and water and walked out with a bottle of Gerolsteiner simply because of their sponsorship.
