I have been a courier for 4 years and this pretty much sums up what I have learned to do. Nice job with the lane placement & the suggestion to sort of curve your path to maintain speed. Riding far on the right also makes it much harder to be seen by everyone. Oncoming traffic, traffic from an intersecting street, passing traffic, etc. Although I don't trust turn signals or the lack thereof. Maybe drivers are better about that in NO, but I've gotten into trouble a couple of times because a signal (or the absense of one) was misleading.
