I have only two grades: flat and fark a hill!
Kariong Hill is a modest 10 min climb. From Somersby you have a looong downhill, so a fixie is not recommended

and freewheeling would suck big time. The climb from Mooney Creek to Calga is long and grinding followed by another long descent. After that you have Pie in the Sky which is a 4km climb (5km to the very top) at a steady incline. From there you're pretty much in Cowan. Fast undulations all the way to North Sydney. It's a hoot in the traffic, with speeds rarely dropping below 50kph from Waroongah to Gordon if you get the right sequence of lights.
Oh yeah, the roads are pretty rough so leave your Cannondale at home.

It's a 38x18 on the Falcon. Road bike it is then. I don't own a Cannondale, you sure you know who I am ?
