Circa 1989 Olmo

So, I'm buying a Schwinn Traveler last night, and the seller says, I also have an Italian bike if you're interested....and pulls out a green and white Olmo. It looks very sleek, especially sitting next to the Schwinn. Spur of the moment decisions never seem to work out for me, and I think the frame may be a little big, but, I strike a package deal for both and go on my way.

I know a little about Schwinns, but I don't know anything about Olmos. I'm guessing this one is a circa 1989 model, as it has a gold 50th anniversary sticker on the top of the downtube (1939-1989). No model name on the frame anywhere. I was hoping for Campy equipment...but no such luck. I'm guessing this is one of their lower end models.

It features a lugged frame - Oria tubing
Shimano 105 crank
Shimano 600 hubs, front and rear brakes, front and rear derailleur
Wolber GTA 2 Gentleman 700c rims
Wellgo pedals
Pave saddle
Soxte (? - the script is difficult to read) headset)

Overall, the bike is in nice shape, some minor scrapes here and there, but nothing serious....I think it will look really good after a through cleaning. I've searched for info regarding Olmos...but really haven't come up with anything, especially info from the late 80s. Any info would be appreciated!

Pics will be posted soon...thank you!
