They all share one thing in common: They are fine for roadside adjustments/repairs. Even some mild-to-moderate shop work. But they should be left to the emergencies and small adjustments on the road. They will break if you tried to really torque down on something.
I have the bigger Topeak Alien II - it's got something like 26 tools. The Swiss Army of bike-bag tools (or on your belt). They actually put a pedal-wrench on it! It would be dead in a heartbeat if I tried to pull a pedal with it. Be fine for an emergency though - tight enough to get me home. Maybe. And the Topeak chain-tool is actually quite good. I've used it a few times and it did a fine job.
