If I have a "beater" for any period of time it inevitably gets upgraded and tweaked so that it's not a beater anymore and even if they look a little rough from the outside, I put a lot of work into them to make them mechanically perfect.

My old winter beater that has become a fixed gear tourer... it is going to get the new SA SX3 fixed hub as soon as they become available through my supplier.
