The yuppy scumbags over on the road forum think I am being discriminatory of them because I make clear that steel is the least toxic of all bicycle materials. Its not fiction, it is fact.

If you want to be an idiot go ahead. How can it be a good deal if you need new rims and a fork?
Uh, you're being a bit harsh. A little bit of carbon fiber is not that bad for the environment. Not compared to the cars, motorcycles, etc that most people drive. I have a road bike w/ carbon fiber seat stays, fork, and seatpost and I'm not a rich yuppie scumbag. Honestly, you sound like a cliche stereotypical fixed gear rider. Besides, if you didn't have any disposable income than you probably wouldn't be on a bike forum and spending cash on your bike.
