Nobody will judge you for buying expensive parts- we will judge you for buying them without knowing how they work or what they are for. It's kind of like buying a Ferrari when you don't know how to drive stick.

The BB you have chosen is a loose-ball bottom bracket- it is not sealed against water or dirt. It's possible to over-tighten the BB cups when installing and damage the whole apparatus, and it has to be disassembled, cleaned, and packed with new grease every year or so or after any significant riding in nasty weather.

I mean, it's your money and your time so you can **** it up if you want, but plenty of folks out here are making do with the cheap stuff and it makes us sad when nice equipment gets damaged by improper use.
