It was misty and foggy here but I managed a tad over 64 miles.

We had an elderly rider with us so I slowed down to keep her company on part of the outbound trip but continued on when the group turned back. I ended up with a bit over 15 mph average but there were some good uphill climbs involved.

And the damn dogs! Jeesh. What is it with people on designated bike routes that let their dogs run loose? One went after my leg twice. It was obviously confused by my moving leg because it couldn't figure out how to bite my calf. it eventually got it figured out just as I unclipped and almost split its little head open. Then it came back again! Luckily it had been put in on the return trip but the pit bull a few houses down had just been put out for its afternoon adventures and decided to give chase. That animal could run. It tailed me between 25 and 30 mph for a good 30 seconds and I fear that it wasn't to beg for a doggie treat.
