If you are talking about the Yellow Jacket wind jacket, I have been using one as my primary commuting jacket for 3 or 4 years now. It will repel light rain...though the repellancy will be reduced over the course of years of washings...but there are sprays that can be applied to mitigate that I hear (I've never had reason to...when it's raining hard I wear a rain jacket, not a wind jacket).

It's great for summertime showers too...it may not keep you dry, but the wet material acts like a swamp cooler in the wind, keeping you cool, rather than hot and sweaty like a rain jacket.

If I had to have only one jacket for all cycling uses, this would be it, but if you are looking for a rain jacket, get a rain jacket. FYI, the combo of the wind jacket and a rain cape works well too.
