Those are nice tires. I had a pair, one kevlar belted (rear) and the front without, and I really liked the ride. Unfortunately, no longer made, not even the blackwall version that succeeded these -- Avocet closed the plant, or it burned, or something like that. Been waiting a couple years to hear of them returning to market, but I'm beginning to think they're history.

About using them on a commuter: my experience was that I did get flats, more in the belted rear than in the front (but that's to be expected). Around these parts (NYC) the culprit is glass -- your local conditions may vary.
