Quick help with Campagnolo derailleurs

I've bought a number of rear derailleurs so I can finish some long overdue bike projects and I've got two that I'm not sure what they are. I put them in a box marked "8-speed" but no other descriptors.

I like it when derailleurs say "Nuovo Record" or Super Record or Record titanium 9-speed on them but these two are no help. Are they Chorus? Athena? Croce d'Aune? C-Record? Daytona?

On another topic, I'm thinking it might be crazy to use these tires on my Paramount commuter bike project. I've got four of them.

If the rubbers still soft with no cracks or dryness go for it.

Rears with the adjustment bolts on the "top" of the cage are Athena.
The other is my guess Chorus, but later Athena adopted the same style. Maybe the plain back plate is a clue.

Those are nice tires. I had a pair, one kevlar belted (rear) and the front without, and I really liked the ride. Unfortunately, no longer made, not even the blackwall version that succeeded these -- Avocet closed the plant, or it burned, or something like that. Been waiting a couple years to hear of them returning to market, but I'm beginning to think they're history.

About using them on a commuter: my experience was that I did get flats, more in the belted rear than in the front (but that's to be expected). Around these parts (NYC) the culprit is glass -- your local conditions may vary.

Bikes: Eight homemade, three very dusty

Yup I think the first is an early 90s Chorus or Athena and the second is a late 80s Athena (it may be 7sp...)
