You obviously have never been to the Ashland Swap-o-Rama on the Chicago's southside or Brick Lanes in London where you can purchase a nearly new mid-level road bike for $150 or a fixed gear track bike for $100. Stolen bikes end up at shady flea markets, pawn shops, or held in storage for a period time or parted out in ebay and craigslist. Where else do you think thieves sell stolen goods?
