I don't believe that the thread wore out its welcome. I think that lately there have been some things linked that weren't in the spirit of the thread's original purpose.

But that isn't much different than it was a year or two ago. There may have been more chaff in the numbskull thread lately, but there will still be numbskulls posting on CL and eBay. I guess when they do, we won't all be able to share.
