SS MTB (Aussie Champs?) race and Cyclo-Cross race in Melbourne ??

I heard about a couple of races coming up this and next weekend from the local shop in Syd. Anyone in Melb know what's up with them? Details are sketchy as to who/where/when. I am keen to find out how they go so I can see what to expect when we do a CX race up here later in the year.
