"Good answer" Look on craigslist for a used older "real" bike. You can most likely find a decent entry level bike for 150-200. In the $100 range I see tons of older full ridged "no suspension" that are still a 100 times better than the wally world crap. And you being young, your body should be able to handle a bike with out shocks. I know of a lot of 40 somethings that are riding those as single speeds now. Been thinking about getting one my self.
