Dude, if it's just some toe clips and pedals, just take off the toe clips. 2 bolts and a strap and you're done. The standard pedal is more than adequate for your shoe size, unless you're saying you're 12" wide.
But I suggest getting used to the toe clips. It puts your foot in a good position for efficiency. I found that it took me longer to get used to toe clips than clipless. Both are far better than just flat pedals, IMO. Here is a wider clip, if you need it:

Also, if you can touch the ground with both feet while still on the saddle, your saddle is too low.
