Whichever crank you get you will need a bottom bracket that has a properly proportioned spindle, or bottom bracket axle, to match the amount of "dish" in the crank, so that the crank and the sprocket operate on the same plane/chainline.

If you don't have a bottom bracket with a 103mm spindle, you will need to get one.

$35 at eBike:

I rode with a sugino RD crank for about a year.

It works great, and, apart from cosmetics, it'll do a good job for you.

Stronglight has in the past made a 130mm BCD crank, and I have one.

Light, stiff, nice-looking.

I wish Stronglight would make this crank again.

John Dace at www.businesscycles.com sold them for about $120 without a chainring.

You might find one used, if you look long enough.

I had mine powdercoated black.
