Speed varies greatly depending on who is in there, the course, conditions, and how the bigger teams want to race it. Anywhere from 1/2 to 4/5. You'd actually have a better shot of doing well in a break if I wasn't in there, virtually every break I've been in recently immediately gets chased down, teams are afraid I'll just dump the break guys at some point.
Which is probably true.
Sunday's ride I decided to see how the other half lived and just sat in and took maybe three pulls in 2 hours. Covered everything then just cheesily took the town sprint. Boring, though I could snack on solid food no problem and caught up on some reading
