Well, you said that Colnago's offerings had more cache then than they do now. My question is how did Colnago's offerings
significantly differ from the other Italian racing bike frames available then to give them this cache?
I think
his products then were more like everyone else's than they were different and
his products today are more different than everyone else's than they are the same, giving them more cache. And if his products in the 70's were more similar to others than they were different, can they really be called his best work?
I think he has really hit his stride in the last 5 years, given technology has removed the limitations holding his obvious creativity back.
But I suppose the real question is, does he talc or not?
