I'm looking at new bkies, but I'd really like to get my Batavus back into riding condition - just not sure it's worth the money to recondition an old bike. I'm not great on the bike, but me and my Batavus went a lot of places, and I never, ever saw anyone else ride one.

Restoring a bike can be costly, depending on how accurate/period correct you want to be. However, you might be able to make it rideable for a relatively small investment. Any pics? And when you say your specs match...whose bike do they match? I'd be surprised if they match mine, as I don't believe the components shown were original. I've since passed the frameset on, as it was a bit small for me.
