No, it was brought about by a dramataic and sudden downturn in the number of available jobs in my field. As for screwing the tax payer, I can only say that self-interest far outways any moral atttitudes that I might have harboured when I was younger. In the words of the hooker, "you have to be prepared to screw anyone to make a decent buck".
