Just a thought....

If people are stripping SA nuts is it possible their axle threads are worn? I do know that on well used axles the threads near the ends are slightly smaller than the threads that have been inside the hub. Especially if the axle has rusted a bit. Do the nuts wobble on the axle?

I've never stripped the nuts, not even cheapo aftermarket ones. In fact other than a couple of people on this forum I've never heard of this being a problem. I have seen axles strip if there are too few threads engaged.
