I was commuting to RMIT in '99 and 2000, so doing the 18 to 21km (I varied my route) was a piece of
piss. However, I switched to La Trobe in 2001, which meant a 28 to 30km commute, and that extra 20 or 30 mins in shit weather has really got to me.
I went from being an "anything goes", tough commuter, with 3 different commuter bikes, back to being a "Beach Rd only" boy on my $4000 Cervelo. But I still ride to the ATM
just checked my rain guage
we've had 70mm since i got home last night
128mm since 7:30am yesterday

last night was insane - i am checking the neighbour's yards for roof tiles...
that last bit isn't true, but that was a shocker last night

no way i would take my gios into that on _that_ track. she's too sweet for that.
i take my Dr. Dew, which does the business.
but i have to go now, on bike of course.

cop ya
