Nup....you take the test for your L-permit, then have to wait at least 3 months to go for your full licence (Ps)....from there, you're restricted to 259cc for 12 months. So the absolute minimum period on a 250 is 15 months.
The 150hp/tonne rule is much better.

I saw a motorbike smash into the back of a car on Friday in Moorabbin. He took off from the lights popping a mono, and was flying by the time he hit. Smashed up the whole front of his bike.
He didn't look too bad, but seemed to be going into some kind of shock, and said at one stage he couldn't feel his legs!! Scared the sh
it out of me.
