I must echo Jim's comments. The seller's conduct in the Valuation forum was that of a wholly self-centered jerk. I recall that he (she?) was more concerned about proving to the world that his/her preconceived valuation was
absolutely correct and above criticism, while simultaneously whining that everyone else's appraisals were bull$hit. One would have thought, from the seller's attitude, that he/she came to fish for a sale rather then listen to the valuations.
The moderators ultimately removed the entire thread, I believe. Good riddance to the idiot who sold it, for all I care - Antiques Roadshow Jr. Experts, such as this seller, tick me off royally.
