Britches.

For you lean, maybe tallish, US racers: what brands of britches fit you? I tried on a bunch at A discount dept store, and everything that fit in the waist was way too tight in the rump, guads, and calves. I then ordered some basic pleats cotton chinos from Land's End, and they have the same issues.

I have to wear pants or jeans at my new office, and my old stuff fits right, but the new cuts aren't made for bike racers. I'd like to buy off the shelf, but I may have to get 36s and alter the waist. My pant size is usually 32x34 if I can get them with enough rise. Otherwise, I have to go up to a 33x36.

I'll hit a Gap and EB this weekend, but I'm doubtful...
