yeah it sure does. they weren't used on much other than clunky MTB and even then it wasn't for long.

p.s. for like $15-20 you can get an adapter that will fit into your threaded system and allow a threadless stem to be used... just make sure to get one made to fit in a 1 1/8" headset.
