I found that I was riding less and less in the mountain since I don't live in the mountain. For an hour of riding I have to drive 15 to 20 minutes whereas with road I just pedal out of the garage. I enjoy mountain... but it takes more planning to gear up, load the bike's and go for a drive then ride.

Trails to ride on are few and far between where I live in suburbia, and I have to drive to access them, so I left the MTB at school this year, and brought the road bike home. Good riding roads are much more plentiful.

I ride my fat-tired bike more often when out in State College.
