This will be, I think, my 16th BRAG. I'm not sure how much advice I would have for first timers as we all do it a little differently according to our preferences and abilities. My best advice would be to relax and have a good time. Remember it is not a race, it's a vacation.

There is a lot of good information for newbies on the BRAG website. The Beginner's Guide is a good resource, as is the BRAG FAQs. If you have specific questions, the BRAG Message Board is a good place to get answers. Often several conflicting answers.

The tip about packing everything in ziplock bags is a good one. I put a day's riding clothes in a bag and a day's campsite clothing in a bag. Keeps everything dry in case your bag gets left in a puddle or out in a downpour and it makes it easy to find what you need.
