Honestly I think strobe is way overkill at night but useful during the day or especially at dusk. I wish someone would put in a standard strobe of around 90 flashes per minute.. For a long time I used a PT EOS on the helmet and the strobe was 90 pulses per minute which was just perfect for being seen..

A bright strobe at night is bad for me as a rider as it's very distracting and I can't actually see anything in front of me, and it must be extremely annoying and even dangerous for drivers.
