Bikes: 2008 giant boulder, 1995 schwinn ridge, 1990 giant yukon

I just added some components to my commuter. I added tires, fenders, and LX derailleur. I want to replace the crank set and cassette this winter. I want to get a two ring crank set, and 8-Speed Road Cassette 12-26. What do you think?
